This position is the primary onsite point of contact for employees, subcontractors, and clients and plays a critical role in keeping projects safe, on schedule, and built right.

Why Work With Us

Long-term in Fort Stewart and surrounding areas

Local projects with no overnight travel

Established General Contractor

High level of project ownership and autonomy

Work alongside experienced field and project leadership

Opportunity to build a long-term career instead of chasing projects around the country

Medical benefit package

3 weeks PTO plus 10 paid holidays

Vehicle allowance and gas card

Matching 401k and more

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll own day-to-day field operations and keep the project moving from mobilization through completion.

Direct and coordinate all onsite construction activities

Lead field crews and subcontractors

Develop and maintain project schedules

Plan manpower, equipment, materials, trucks, and other project resources

Work closely with the Project Manager on schedule changes, subcontractor issues, project requirements, and field challenges

Coordinate multiple trades and construction activities

Read and interpret blueprints, surveys, specifications, and contract documents

Monitor productivity, workmanship, and project costs

What You Bring

5+ years of construction experience

Strong Superintendent experience on mid-to-large-scale construction projects

Federal construction experience strongly preferred but not required

USACE experience a huge PLUS

Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, equipment, and field operations

Hands-on experience supervising crews and subcontractors

Ability to develop schedules and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment

Strong understanding of jobsite safety and quality requirements

Ability to manage multiple scopes and priorities simultaneously

Strong blueprint and specification reading skills

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, project management, safety, and quality teams

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize issues before they impact the project

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, but extensive relevant field experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a true field leader, not someone who sits in the trailer waiting for problems to land on their desk.

You know your project, your schedule, your crews, and your subcontractors. You communicate early, hold people accountable, solve problems in the field, and understand that safety, quality, schedule, and client relationships all matter.

If you’ve built your career running complex construction projects and have experience in the federal/USACE world, I’d like to talk.

Principal Process Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 2 to 5 Years Department: Process Excellence & Engineering Location: Advanced Manufacturing Facility (Hybrid/Onsite)

About the Organization

We are a fast-growing, innovation-driven enterprise committed to manufacturing excellence, sustainability, and continuous technological advancement. Our engineering division operates at the intersection of traditional chemical/mechanical operations and cutting-edge industrial automation. As we scale our footprint and modernize our production pathways, we are seeking high-caliber talent to drive operational transformations. We offer an environment where technical ingenuity is celebrated, leadership potential is rapidly cultivated, and continuous improvement is woven into the very fabric of our operational culture.

Role Overview

The Principal Process Engineer will serve as a technical catalyst and strategic contributor within our primary manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will take ownership of identifying, analyzing, and executing high-impact process improvements designed to maximize yield, optimize throughput, enhance product quality, and minimize environmental impact.

While the designation reflects the critical technical authority of the role, we are specifically looking for an emerging, high-potential engineering professional with 2 to 5 years of hands-on industrial experience who has already demonstrated proficiency in driving structured process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will blend foundational engineering principles with data-driven continuous improvement methodologies to challenge legacy workflows, optimize process parameters, and champion operational excellence across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Principal Process Engineer carries a multifaceted mandate spanning process optimization, operational troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic safety compliance. Detailed responsibilities include:

1. Process Improvement and Continuous Optimization

Lead end-to-end continuous improvement (CI) initiatives using proven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma (DMAIC), Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).

Analyze complex production workflows to eliminate systemic bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, minimize raw material scrap, and lower overall operational expenditures.

Design, implement, and validate process modifications, tracking outcomes against baseline Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and First Pass Yield (FPY).

Collaborate with operations teams to institutionalize standard operating conditions (SOCs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that sustain long-term operational gains.

2. Engineering Analysis, Modeling, and Data Analytics

Conduct advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) analyses to monitor real-time manufacturing variations, identifying deviations before they escalate into non-conformances.

Utilize process modeling and simulation tools to forecast the impact of proposed operational shifts and system upgrades.

Execute rigorous Root Cause Analyses (RCA) on persistent technical deviations, product quality failures, and unscheduled downtime using 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA frameworks.

Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) to establish optimal operational windows for legacy and newly commissioned manufacturing assets.

3. Equipment, Technology, and Scale-Up Management

Evaluate existing industrial equipment and utilities, making data-backed engineering recommendations for upgrades, retrofits, and preventative maintenance schedules.

Partner with the Capital Projects team during the conceptual design, commissioning, qualification, and validation (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ) of new equipment.

Assist in seamlessly transitioning new product formulations or design prototypes from the R&D stage to stable commercial-scale mass production.

Champion the adoption of Industry 4.0 innovations, including automated sensor integration, IoT process monitoring, and digitized reporting interfaces.

4. Cross-Functional Technical Leadership

Act as the primary technical interface connecting Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, R&D, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams.

Mentor junior process technicians and line operators on technical standard methodologies, data literacy, and continuous improvement philosophies.

Translate complex technological data and engineering evaluations into clear, actionable executive summaries and presentations for senior leadership.

5. Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Quality Assurance

Uphold the highest standards of safety compliance, actively participating in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Hazard and Operability studies (HAZOP), and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).

Ensure all process modifications adhere strictly to environmental, occupational safety, and sector-specific regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA, cGMP).

Drive a culture of quality where defects are systematically engineered out of the process rather than merely filtered out at quality checkpoints.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience: Exactly 2 to 5 years of progressive professional engineering experience within a manufacturing, chemical processing, biomanufacturing, heavy industry, or fast-paced industrial environment.

Process Improvement Expertise: Demonstrated track record of successfully scoping, leading, and concluding measurable process improvement projects resulting in tangible yield, cost, or quality benefits.

Methodologies: Solid working understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma tools, and Design of Experiments (DOE). Green Belt certification is highly desirable.

Technical Proficiencies:

Proficiency with statistical software (Minitab, JMP, or Python/R).

Familiarity with CAD modeling software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Experience reading and creating P&IDs, PFDs, and mass/energy balances.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, with an ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

What We Offer

We provide a supportive, high-energy environment where top talent can flourish. In addition to challenging and fulfilling work, our compensation and benefits package includes:

Highly competitive base salary with performance-driven annual bonus incentives.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance coverage starting on Day 1.

401(k) retirement savings plan with generous dollar-for-dollar employer matching.

Robust tuition reimbursement and funding for ongoing professional certifications (Six Sigma Black Belt, PE, etc.).

Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), dedicated volunteer days, and company-paid holidays.

Clear, structured pathways for rapid technical leadership and management advancement.

Ready to Transform Our Industrial Processes?

If you have the technical foundation, a passion for relentless optimization, and 2 to 5 years of engineering achievements under your belt, we want to hear from you. Submit your resume, cover letter, and a brief overview of a process improvement project you spearheaded.

We will now be offering an additional weld test for RK Energy. This will be a GMAW-MC 1G Rollout test. This is where the pipe is welded in a flat position on a pipe rollout machine. If candidates don’t feel they can pass the 6g FCAW weld test, please ask them if they’ve ever welded on a roll out and if they can pass this test. I am including some additional information about Metal Core (MC). This should help you better understand how it differs from FCAW, as well as the weld test specs. I’m happy to answer any additional questions you may have.

This will be a 2 hour weld test for Energy. It should be included on your submittals as 1G Rollout GMAW-MC in the same section as our existing testing info.. If they want to take the 6g and 1G make sure to include them both and this will be scheduled in 4 hour allowances to complete both tests. .

1G means the pipe is positioned horizontally and can be rotated while welding. Think of it like spinning a soda can while trying to draw a straight line on it.

GMAW-MC (Gas Metal Arc Welding - Metal Core) is a type of wire-fed welding that combines aspects of MIG (metal inert gas) welding with flux-core welding. It offers deep penetration and good weld quality.

Full job description

We’re growing and looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong programming background to help drive our machining operations. You’ll take ownership of programming, setups, and process optimization on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and our automation cells. This is a mill-focused role, though experience with lathes is a plus.

Why you’ll love working here

People first culture: respectful, collaborative team that has each other’s backs. Our core values are integrity, craftsmanship, and empowerment and the entire team strives to live them each day.

We make parts that fuel the space economy here in Colorado and across the United States. You'll be challenged and proud of the work you do and the impact it has each and every day.

AS9100-certified shop: quality is our baseline, not a slogan.

Real ownership: you run your work from material pull to final inspection. We value your input and creativity!

Growth your way: lead projects or mentor teammates when you’re ready.

What you’ll do

Program (Mastercam), set up, and run 3/4/5-axis CNC mills to deliver production-ready, high-precision parts.

Leverage automation cells for lights-out and high-mix/low-volume efficiency; optimize fixtures, probing, and tool paths.

Own the process: material selection, tooling, workholding, and in-process checks.

Self-inspect using GD&T and document to AS9100 standards.

Collaborate with a tight-knit team: share best practices, help debug tough features, and keep jobs moving. Help others and have help available when you need a fresh idea.

(Nice to have) Jump on a live-tooling lathe when needed.

What you bring

Mill expertise: 3/4/5-axis programming (Mastercam), efficient setups, and confident operation. Lathe experience is a plus.

Quality mindset: you understand AS9100 discipline and build it into every step.

Project Manager / Estimator | Heavy Civil & Underground Utilities

Denver Metro | $100K–$140K | No Overnight Travel

If you can build the number, win the work, and then run the project, this is the kind of role where you can own the entire process.

Brannan is looking for a Project Manager / Estimator with strong heavy civil experience and a background in underground wet utilities. This isn't an estimating role that hands the job off after award, and it isn't a PM role where someone else built the bid.

You'll own projects from bid to closeout.

Why Work With Us

$100K–$140K

Denver Metro projects

No overnight travel

Monday–Friday, in-office

Established heavy civil contractor with a strong local presence

High level of ownership from estimating through project completion

Work hard, play hard culture

Fun, social, outgoing team that genuinely enjoys working together

Strong leadership without being micromanaged

You'll report directly to Division Manager Luke Lopez, who brings a hands-off, trust-but-verify leadership style. He's approachable, supportive, and a strong mentor who gives his team room to do their jobs.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll manage your projects from bid through closeout, so you need to be equally comfortable estimating the work and managing it once it's awarded.

Estimate heavy civil and underground utility projects

Perform takeoffs, pricing and bid preparation

Review plans, specifications and project requirements

Develop competitive bids and proposals

Manage awarded projects from kickoff through completion

Own budgets, schedules, forecasting and cost control

Coordinate with field leadership, subcontractors, vendors and clients

Manage change orders, RFIs and project documentation

Track production, costs and overall project performance

Maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities and project partners

Drive projects through successful closeout

What You Bring

Strong Project Management AND Estimating experience

Underground wet utility experience is a must

Heavy civil construction background

Experience estimating and managing projects from bid through closeout

Strong understanding of earthwork, underground utilities and civil construction

Experience with Bluebeam

Experience with B2W/Bid2Win or similar estimating software

Strong financial understanding of project budgets, costs and forecasting

Confident communicator who works well with both field and office teams

Self-motivated, accountable and comfortable operating with autonomy

The Personality Fit Matters

This isn't a buttoned-up, heads-down team where everyone disappears into their office.

The group is social, outgoing, hardworking and fun. They take the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously.

If you're someone who works hard, owns your projects, enjoys the people you work with and doesn't need someone looking over your shoulder every five minutes, you'll fit right in.

To Apply

If you're a heavy civil PM/Estimator with underground wet utility experience and want a Denver-based opportunity where you can own your work from the first takeoff through final closeout, let's talk.

Talk soon,
Mindi
