Job Description

Job Title: Welder 
Shift: 1st shift 
Hours: Monday through Friday 6a-3p (may require some Saturdays) 
Pay Range: $18.00-$24.00 per hour (Depending on experience) 


Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team at a reputable company. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding various components to create high-quality metal tanks and pressure vessels. Your expertise in welding techniques and precision will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our products.


Responsibilities:
  • Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and SMAW, to join metal components in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Fabrication and Assembly: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures to assemble metal tanks and pressure vessels accurately and efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards, checking for defects, and making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, or cutting materials, ensuring proper fit and alignment prior to joining.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working with welding equipment, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition and report any malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to exchange information and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the welding process.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Work efficiently to meet production targets and project deadlines without compromising on the quality of workmanship.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including welding parameters, project details, and time logs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest welding techniques and industry trends, proactively seeking opportunities for skills enhancement and process improvement.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Welder with relevant welding certifications (e.G., AWS, ASME) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in welding metal tanks and pressure vessels, with a strong understanding of welding processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and SMAW.
  • Ability to work with a variety of metals, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality welds.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to established safety guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting heavy materials when necessary.
***Must be able to pass a background check and UA screening.
