Position and Responsibilities Overview
- Provide deep technical insights into modular products, including turnkey modular data centers, UPS pods, e-houses, and electrical conveyance systems.
- Stay updated on compliance standards and permitting process for modular programs
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals, including understanding the project requirements & specifications, and organizing an internal proposal plan with estimating, engineering, marketing, and production.
- Ensure the project inclusions and exclusions are clearly coordinated internally with the estimating department and externally in the customer-facing proposal
- Deliver detailed technical presentations to customers as required for business development or to present previously submitted proposals
- Maintain expertise on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies in the modular mission-critical space, with a particular emphasis on emerging areas like AI data centers, edge computing, green energy solutions, and power infrastructure.
- Use insights to position the company’s solutions effectively and advise customers on innovations that impact modular infrastructure.
- Ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations, with all pertinent project information turned over to the operations team for seamless project execution.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or pre-sales in the data center, IT infrastructure, telecommunications, or power markets. Experience with modular construction is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of data center and mission-critical infrastructure (power, cooling, network architecture, etc.), modular construction, and energy-efficient technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., Tier ratings, Uptime Institute standards) and a strong focus on providing customers with the technical details to make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of a data center commissioning process is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create proposals that clearly communicate business value and technical specifics.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to offer innovative, compliant solutions tailored to customer needs across various modular product offerings.
