Full-time Assembly Technician



Job Overview

Offering $22-26/hr 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assembly Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical assembly, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality products. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the production of innovative products.



Key Responsibilities



  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of complex products and components according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings
  • Read and interpret technical documents, including assembly instructions, schematics, and blueprints
  • Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble, adjust, and test products
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet required standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues, identifying and reporting any defects or inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve assembly processes and product quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
  • Train and mentor junior assembly technicians as needed


Required Qualifications



  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly techniques, including fitting, aligning, and fastening components
  • Strong electrical assembly skills, including soldering, wire harnessing, and PCB assembly
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various tools and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including assembly drawings and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification is a plus


Preferred Qualifications



  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field
  • Experience with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and handling sensitive components
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology
  • Knowledge of quality control systems and procedures
  • Experience with automated assembly equipment
  • Certification in specific assembly techniques or equipment operation


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
  • Visual acuity to inspect small components and read detailed instructions
