Full-time Concrete Foreman



Job Overview



We are seeking an experienced and skilled Concrete Foreman to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in concrete work, civil projects, and concrete carpentry. As a Concrete Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing concrete-related projects, ensuring high-quality work, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of assignments.



Key Responsibilities



  • Project Management:
    • Plan, coordinate, and supervise concrete construction projects from start to finish
    • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution
    • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all tasks
    • Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to maintain smooth workflow
    • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and direct a team of concrete workers, laborers, and apprentices
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience
    • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced team members
    • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve high-quality results and meet project goals
    • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and solutions
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure all concrete work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications
    • Perform regular inspections of work in progress and completed projects
    • Identify and resolve any quality issues promptly and effectively
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures and documentation
    • Stay updated on the latest concrete technologies and best practices
  • Safety Management:
    • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with the team
    • Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures
    • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all team members
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize safety risks
  • Resource Management:
    • Estimate material, equipment, and labor requirements for projects
    • Order and manage inventory of concrete materials and supplies
    • Coordinate equipment and tool allocation for maximum efficiency
    • Monitor and control project costs to ensure budget compliance
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality
  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on concrete-related matters
    • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to clients and stakeholders
    • Address client concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally
    • Collaborate with clients to ensure their vision and requirements are met
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients for future business opportunities
