We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team specializing in precision-built equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and inspection processes, particularly within the manufacturing of precision equipment. This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass an extensive background screening due to the sensitive nature of our work.
Pay: $23-$35/hour DOE
Hours: 1st shift, Monday-Friday
Location: Westminster, CO
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of precision-built equipment and components to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
- Inspect surface finish, coatings, welds, and assemblies to verify conformance to specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality inspections.
- Identify and report non-conformities or deviations from quality standards, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and final inspections of completed assemblies or products.
- Follow established procedures and protocols for quality control and inspection activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives and processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to quality and safety.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality assurance or inspection is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on precision-built equipment or similar complex assemblies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of quality issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to pass an extensive background screening.
