A leading machine shop that makes various products throughout an array of markets including Medical, Avionics/Aerospace, Consumer Goods, and many more is seeking an experienced and reliable QUALITY MANAGER to join their fast-paced an growing team!

Specific Responsibilities:

• Inspect high precision parts using optical comparators (classical and digital), micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, pin gages, thread gages, high gages, etc.

• Operate the CMM units.

• Collection/retrieval of the gages due for calibration and coordination with the calibration provider for their pick-up.

• Build, manage, and sustain a team of technical quality associates assigned to product development and in-process quality.

• Drive continuous improvement activity through the collection and analysis of data and develop corrective actions that reduce waste and support key company objectives.

• Implement six sigma and lean manufacturing improvement projects.

Key Skills:

• Demonstrated experience using GD&T and a full range of measurement techniques.

• Experience using measuring tools and instruments such as calipers, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, pin gages, thread gages, etc.

• Excellent organization and record keeping skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skill

• Minimum of 7 years of experience of Quality Engineering/Management.

• Minimum of 4 years of quality and inspection experience in a CNC machine shop. Experience with medical and aerospace industries a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality & Assurance or a related field a plus.

• Six Sigma Green Belt/ Black Belt Certification a plus.

• CQE ASQ certification a plus.
