QA TESTING ENGINEER
Pay range: $30.00 - $43.00 / hour, DOE
Hours: Monday through Friday 6: 00am - 3: 00pm
SUMMARY
As a Certified Level II Inspector, plans, secures procedures and materials, and implements testing on products for acceptance. This includes Leak testing using Mass Spectrometer or Residual Gas Analyzer in the tracer Probe mode; Leak testing using other media (e.G., gas or fluids), and other testing.
While waiting for parts to complete fabricated and become available for testing, the selected candidate must also be able to support other Quality Inspection activities. For example, FAT, Visual, PT, Receiving, etc.

MLST Level II -- 24 Training Hours; 420 hours work exp. In Method; 800 hours exp. In NDT
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Qualified as a MS Level II leak tester
Inspection Experience -- 3 years for HS/GED; 2 years for Associate's Degree; 1 year for Bachelor's Degree
Manufacturing Experience -- 6 years for HS/GED; 3 years for Associate's Degree; 2 years for Bachelor's Degree
SKILLS and ABILITIES :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for coordinating testing requirements, scheduling, and associated documentation and records.
- Performs testing on fabricated product per Customer requirements.
- Evaluates test data and writes reports to document results and validates for compliance or indicate deviations from existing customer requirements or standards.
- When certified, performs Nondestructive Testing.
- Operates testing equipment and interprets results to code and specification requirements.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Capable of performing calculations when required by the testing method used.
- When qualified, inspects materials received, work in process and finished products using conventional inspection instruments to ensure conformance with work orders, blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Must maintain testing process and documentation in compliance with the Quality System requirements.
- May be trained as a Quality Inspector.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Prior to Hire, candidate to provide documentation that proves prior certification MSLT (Mass spectrometry leak testing) as Level II. This includes training hours (validated by level III) and experience hours (validated by level III or II). Level II requires Level I combined with Level II hours.

- Inspection or testing experience (e.G., Nondestructive testing, visual inspection, dimensional inspection, welding inspection, etc.)
SKILLS and ABILITIES :
- Must be proficient in the testing and inspection practices for which qualified.
- Ability to utilize MSLT testing equipment and hand-held measurement tools, e.G, .Calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, steel rule, tape measure, etc.
- Must be proficient in interpretation of drawings and specifications.
- Must have a proficient understanding of quality documentation.
- Must be proficient with using computers.
