Mechanical Design Engineer


Shift:  2nd (some 1st shift opportunities)
Days:  Monday-Friday
Hours:   3: 00PM-11: 00PM
Starting Pay Range:  $ 35-50 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Location:    Arvada, CO


JOB SUMMARY
A leading manufacturer of highly reliable and efficient centrifugal pumps and compressors for use in the oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, power generation and water processing industries is in need of a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing developing, and testing mechanical components and systems.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for a variety of products, using CAD and other design software.
• Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure mechanical designs integrate with other subsystems.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and test plans.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently and at low cost.
• Test and evaluate mechanical components and systems to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design problems that arise during the development and testing process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in mechanical engineering

EXPERIENCE & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and other design tools.
• Familiarity with design and development processes, including prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Background and UA screening required for this position
• Safety oriented
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Works well with others 
• Small team oriented
• Willing to flex to different areas of production and learn multiple skills as needs arise
• Strive to perform tasks outside   of daily expectations to improve process efficiency and safety

SCREENING / TESTING :   All candidates must be willing and able to undergo and/or pass:
