Job Description
Job Title: Material Handler
Pay: $20-$24 per hour (Depending on experience)
Shifts: 1st
Hours: Monday - Friday
Job Summary:
The material handler is responsible for organizing and maintaining inventory of all materials related to compressor and pumps assembly. This includes ensuring that all incoming materials are properly stored and labeled, tracking inventory levels, and preparing materials for installation. The material handler will work closely with the installation team to ensure that all materials are available and ready to use when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, checking for damage or defects.
- Organize and maintain inventory of all materials, ensuring that everything is properly labeled and stored.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for additional materials as needed.
- Work with installation team to prepare materials for installation.
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials, using forklifts and other equipment as needed.
- Keep work area clean and organized, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and report any discrepancies to management.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
