Manual Machinist (not CNC)


Shift: Weekend
Days: Friday-Sunday
Hours:   6: 00AM-6: 30PM 
Starting Pay Range: $24.00-$27.50 per hour (DOE)
Location:   Arvada, CO


JOB SUMMARY
A leading manufacturer of highly reliable and efficient centrifugal pumps and compressors for use in the oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, power generation and water processing industries is looking for a manual machinist responsible for operating mechanical equipment that fabricates metal parts

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    Utilizes blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished products
    Set up and operate numerous machine tools to precision tolerances from blueprints and sketches. 
    Maintain all process documentation
    Work with a broad range of materials (stainless, hardened steel, exotics)
    Performs inspection of product using such equipment as micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate and associated accessories, bench comparators, profilometers, optical comparators, etc. As required to assure compliance
    Utilizes safe working habits and is conscientious to not endanger self, others, equipment, or property. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to minimize unsafe conditions
    Strives to maintain high personal productivity level and performs other related duties as assigned as well as training other employees when necessary.

EXPERIENCE & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    0-3 years of experience
    HS Diploma or GED required
    Must have a high degree of mechanical ability and machine expertise
    The ability to read and interpret GD&T, complex engineering drawings
    Working knowledge of shop trigonometry
    Must be able to work independently to meet customer demands and manage workload of department
    Must be able to lift, handle, or carry heavy materials
    Must be able to stand for extended periods of time




SCREENING / TESTING:   All candidates must be willing and able to undergo and/or pass:
    Drug screen including THC
    Criminal background screen
