Full-time Laser Operator



Job Overview



We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating fiber laser cutting machines and possess a strong understanding of precision measurement tools. This position plays a crucial role in our production process, ensuring high-quality output and maintaining efficient operations.



Key Responsibilities



  • Operate and monitor fiber laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications
  • Set up and calibrate laser cutting equipment for optimal performance
  • Program and adjust machine parameters to meet specific job requirements
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine cutting specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser cutting equipment
  • Conduct quality control checks using precision measurement tools, including tape measures
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow
  • Document production data and maintain accurate records
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality


Qualifications



  • 1-5 years of experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in operating fiber laser cutting machines
  • Strong knowledge of machine operation principles and safety procedures
  • Experience with precision measurement tools, including tape measures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Basic understanding of G-code programming for CNC machines
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or relevant vocational training is a plus


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery
