Pay: $25-28/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift 2:00pm – 10:30pm (training will be on 1st Shift 6:00am – 2:30p)
3rd Shift 10:00pm – 6:30am (training will be on 1st Shift 6:00am – 2:30p)
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Level 1 Thixomolding Press Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Thixomolding press machines, including monitoring equipment, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring consistent production of high-quality parts that meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Thixomolding press machines, including start-up, operation, and shutdown procedures
- Maintain consistent machine cycle times and optimize performance
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and report any defects
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and alignment of equipment
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters using SYSCOM controller feedback (e.g., injection speed, pressure, recovery time)
- Execute proper manual die spray techniques and manage die spray systems
- Set up and tear down molds as required
- Operate auxiliary equipment including robots, oil heaters, and ice blasters
- Monitor material feed systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Complete all required production and quality documentation
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in machining or related field (injection molding, die casting, etc.)
- Basic understanding of injection molding or part processing
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Ability to start/stop molding machines and robotic systems
- Experience with tool setup and handling
- Knowledge of basic machining technology
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and pallet jacks
- Completion of Fundamentals of Injection Molding (Paulson Training) is a plus
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable performing moderate to heavy physical work, including moving equipment
