Installation Service Technician-Petroleum

Dacono/Frederick, CO.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Petroleum Installation Service Technician with mechanical and electrical expertise to join our team in Northern Colorado. This role involves the installation and maintenance of petroleum systems, including tank and piping installation, Veeder-Root systems, and general construction tasks. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of construction installation, pipe fitting, and be comfortable working in dynamic environments with overnight travel (50%).
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
- Install tanks, piping, and related petroleum equipment.
- Assist with testing and inspection post-installation.
- Remove and dispose of old equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, and other necessary tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site environment.
Training & Development
- Learn petroleum systems installation through on-the-job training under Installers, Project Managers, and Managers.
- Complete required certifications, including HAZWOPER 40 and other safety-related training.
- Assist in completing project paperwork accurately and timely.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE at job sites.
- Monitor and report unsafe practices, with the authority to stop work if necessary.
- Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment.
Job Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 0–3 years of workforce experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Licenses/Certifications:
- HAZWOPER 40 certification preferred (required to complete after hiring).
- CDL-A license and UST installer license is a plus, but not required.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with manual construction work and operating tools.
Working Conditions
- Hazards: Exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, moving equipment, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and dangerous chemicals/solvents.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently. Must perform tasks requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, and walking.
