Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of pipe fabrication, installation, and maintenance, with proven expertise in pipe threading, pipe bending, and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). As a Fabricator/Pipefitter, you will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems used in various industrial applications. You will work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and plastic piping systems, ensuring all work meets industry standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication and Installation
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to determine pipe layout, fabrication requirements, and installation procedures
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and assemble pipes and pipe fittings according to specifications and project requirements
- Fabricate pipe sections, supports, and hangers using various tools and equipment including cutting torches, saws, threading machines, and bending equipment
- Install piping systems for various applications including water, steam, gas, oil, and chemical distribution systems
- Perform pipe threading operations using manual and power threading machines, ensuring proper thread depth and quality
- Execute precise pipe bending operations using hydraulic benders, manual benders, and other specialized equipment while maintaining proper bend radius and avoiding pipe deformation
- Assemble and secure pipes
