A well-established, employee-owned company with a long history of supporting Colorado’s construction and infrastructure projects is hiring for an Engineering Technician, (Construction Materials Testing Technician). This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into the construction or engineering field — no prior experience required.
You’ll be trained in soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials testing to help ensure safety and compliance on civil construction sites. Many of the projects directly impact our local communities, including roadways, bridges, and public works.
Position Highlights:
Starting Pay: $20–$25/hour
Certification-based raises available as you complete paid training programs
Full-time hours, typically 40–60 hours/week during peak season (May–October)
Year-round employment with overtime opportunities during the busy season
What You’ll Be Doing:
Perform field and lab testing of construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, and more)
Use mobile devices for data collection and reporting
Work independently on active construction sites throughout the region
Follow quality control and safety procedures as trained
What We’re Looking For:
Strong work ethic and reliability
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable working independently after training
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Certification training is provided at no cost
Raises are based on certifications completed and performance
