Electrical Estimator

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing preconstruction team supporting commercial and industrial electrical projects throughout Arizona. What You'll Be Doing

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete and accurate estimates
  • Analyze project scope and identify potential gaps, risks, and opportunities
  • Perform detailed material, labor, and equipment takeoffs
  • Visit project sites as needed to evaluate complex or unique project conditions
  • Coordinate with the Preconstruction Team to ensure complete project coverage
  • Communicate with General Contractors, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to clarify scope and pricing
  • Solicit, evaluate, and qualify vendor and subcontractor proposals
  • Assemble comprehensive bid packages and bid tabs within required deadlines
  • Develop value engineering recommendations that improve project competitiveness
  • Validate estimate accuracy by comparing historical project data and previous bids
  • Maintain organized electronic project documentation
  • Participate in project turnover meetings with Operations after award
  • Serve as a key liaison between Estimating and Field Operations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Follow up on submitted bids and awarded projects

What You Bring

  • Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or mission critical electrical construction projects
  • Strong understanding of electrical estimating principles and bid preparation
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and labor calculations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, and project teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Accubid experience is a plus)
