Job Description

Position: Director of Operations

Compensation Range: $130k-$225 (Depending on experience) 


Reports to: General Manager & President

Position Responsibilities

  • Train and develop a high-performance Operations team.
  • Create world-class Operations processes and procedures.
  • Implement Operations programs, including policies, practices, procedures, systems, and documentation.
  • Complete or coordinate basic accounting, project cost and trend reports, WIP, CSRs, and monthly forecasts with the financial team.
  • Oversee budget preparation, billings, change orders, and negotiation of subcontractors, monitoring labor hours and project costs.
  • Manage contractual agreements with subcontractors, owners, contractors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate procurement procedures with the purchasing team.
  • Administer subcontract requirements in accordance with agreements and contract documents.
  • Oversee ordering, processing, and delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Initiate, oversee, and verify billings and material deliveries.
  • Conduct turnover and pre-production planning meetings.
  • Develop accurate budgets and ensure purchase orders, contracts, and subcontract agreements are promptly reviewed.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and leadership to the Operations team.
  • Implement and analyze productivity tracking weekly.
  • Maintain relationships with owners, customers, engineers, and vendors.
  • Continuously improve procedures, productivity, and efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Proven track record in Project Management with complex projects/programs.
  • Experience in Project Management, Product Management, and Integration; manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • 10+ years in data center, power, and modular construction.
  • 10+ years of customer-facing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, and integration of mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Lean Six Sigma training and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and databases.
  • Experience in fast-paced business environments with team responsibility.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to negotiate critical issues with leadership.
  • Capable of making significant decisions and recommendations.
  • Leadership and influence capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP and project management systems like Viewpoint and Bluebeam.
