Summary:

The Certified Weld Inspector is responsible for inspecting welds to ensure that they meet all applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding processes and procedures, as well as the ability to use a variety of inspection tools and techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect welds to ensure that they meet all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Use a variety of inspection tools and techniques, including visual inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT), and dimensional measurements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection records.
• Communicate with welders, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that welds are meeting requirements.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest welding codes and standards.

Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Strong understanding of welding processes and procedures.
• Ability to use a variety of inspection tools and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
