Manage the maintenance, operation, and improvement of the BAS System for an Industrial facilities equipment on utility systems: air handlers, chilled water & heating systems, gas systems, and air compressors/dryers.


Key Responsibilities
Has programming experience in Sage, Necus, and Auto Matrix

• 
  
  
•   Designs advanced digital control systems and sequence of operation for HVAC mechanical systems, process systems such as compressed air, process cooling, cleanroom contamination control, electrical power distribution with limited supervision.
  
• Design control sequences with a focus on precision control, energy control, and energy conservation.
  
• Develop tasks in coordination with other engineers as part of overall systems start-up and commissioning of mechanical, process, and electrical systems associated with semiconductor equipment manufacturing
  
• Creates difficult mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechatronic design concepts.
  
• Conducts complex studies to determine the feasibility, costs, or performance benefits of new mechatronic equipment.
  
• Develop user interfaces for advanced SCADA systems including engineering reports documenting design details and qualification test results.
  
• Provides consultation or training on topics such as mechatronics or automated control.
  
• Review procedures for and validate calibrating and repairing instruments and associated equipment.
  
• Supporting controls group in troubleshooting, upgrading and new installation of systems.
  
• Consulting manuals, reading, and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  
• Building Automation System (BAS) experience and familiarity with controls systems.
  
• Monitor and escort sub-contractors in performance of work.
  
• Work with cross functional teams to perform root cause analysis, recommend solutions, and negotiate and execute contingency plans.
  
• Develop & maintain system documents, including specifications & maintenance plans.
  
• Coach & train Facility Engineers & Facility Maintenance Technicians on BAS.
  
• Coordinate with Applied GIS to review network structure and redundancies for BAS and related systems.
  

Functional Knowledge

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  
• Understands the principles of measuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processes using instrumentation.
  
• Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of motor controls, drives, and electronic components, as well as PLC & VFD programming.
  
• Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC.
  
• Working knowledge of VM Servers and networking.
  
• Working knowledge in using hand tools, multi-meters, and testing equipment.
  
• Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  
• Preferred experience with JCI Metasys systems.
