Full-time Golf Cart Technician



About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time Golf Cart Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in golf cart repair, electrical diagnostics, and small engine repair. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of golf carts, including electric, gas, and hybrid models
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues
  • Conduct thorough inspections of golf carts to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including batteries, motors, controllers, and other electrical systems
  • Perform engine tune-ups, oil changes, and other preventative maintenance tasks
  • Install and configure accessories such as GPS systems, lighting, and custom features
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repairs and providing estimates
  • Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest golf cart technologies and repair techniques
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2-5 years of experience in golf cart repair or related field
  • Proficiency in golf cart repair, electrical diagnostics, and small engine repair
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Experience with both gas and electric golf cart models
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending)

Preferred:

  • Certification in small engine repair or related field
  • Experience with golf course operations or the golf industry
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Experience with inventory management systems
