Job Title: Pipefitting Field Manager (Commercial HVAC) - Mountain Region
Reports to: Sr General Superintendent/GM of Ops
Pay Range: $35+ per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipefitting Field Manager to join our commercial HVAC company in the beautiful mountain region. As a Field Manager, you will oversee and manage pipefitting operations for our projects in the mountains, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC piping systems. Your expertise in pipefitting, leadership abilities, and understanding of mountain-specific challenges will be crucial in delivering high-quality work and achieving project success. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in pipefitting, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to a team of pipefitters, ensuring efficient and high-quality execution of HVAC piping projects in the mountain region.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate pipefitting activities, considering the unique challenges of the mountain environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine the layout and configuration of HVAC piping systems.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC piping systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to identify potential issues or risks and develop effective solutions to ensure project success.
- Manage manpower, equipment, and materials, coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and availability of required resources.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for the pipefitting team and compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to pipefitters, resolving complex technical issues and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with other trade managers (electricians, HVAC technicians, etc.) to ensure proper coordination and integration of various systems within projects.
- Track project progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to pipefitting and HVAC systems in the mountain region.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pipefitting Field Manager or similar role in the commercial HVAC industry, preferably in mountainous areas.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in HVAC pipefitting, including layout, sizing, fabrication, installation, and repair of piping systems.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of pipefitters.
- In-depth understanding of mountain-specific challenges, such as altitude, extreme weather conditions, and terrain, and their impact on pipefitting operations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving project goals and delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders, team members, and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices related to pipefitting and HVAC systems.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites within the mountain region.
Must be able to pass a background and UA screening.
