Job Title: CNC Machinist 

Location: Arvada, CO

Shift: 2nd Shift and Weekend Shift. 

Days Worked: Monday through Friday (except for weekend shift. It is Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12 hour shifts) 

Hourly Wage: $24.00 - $35.00 (depending on experience) 

Weekday Training: Yes

*Note: Training to be conducted during day shift hours (approximately 6:00 am - 2:30 pm) until the employee is deemed competent to move to permanent shift hours.

Specific Skills Required:

This position is focused on our cast impeller cell, and the successful candidate should possess the following skills:

1. Mechanical Aptitude:

   • Demonstrate a high degree of mechanical ability.

2. Blueprint Reading:

   • Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and complex engineering drawings

3. CNC Machining:

   • Strong working knowledge of CNC machining.

4. Cell Machining:

   • Experience or capability to operate multiple machines within a cell on a one-piece flow basis.

   • Experience in performing quality inspections.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain CNC machines within the cast impeller cell.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings with a focus on GD&T.
• Apply shop trigonometry principles to machining tasks.
• Ensure the one-piece flow within the cell is maintained efficiently.
• Participate in training during day shift hours until deemed competent for permanent shift hours.
• Conduct quality inspections to maintain high standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a machinist, with a focus on CNC machining.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with complex engineering drawings.
• Proficient in GD&T and shop trigonometry.
• Demonstrated ability to run multiple machines within a cell.
• Commitment to long-term career development.
• Experience in quality inspections.
